1882 DEATHS 

ANDRUSS – Uncle Smedley ANDRUSS, residing with his daughter, Mrs. E. WOODARD, was taken dangerously ill with pneumonia on Saturday last, Dr. WOODARD, who was immediately called, has been in almost constant attendance.  At this writing the old gentleman is some better.  Fears are entertained lest his great age (87 years) and extreme debility preclude recovery. 

ANDRUSS -  Mr. Smedley ANRUSS of Cohocton, the father of Mrs. MILLARD of this village (Naples), died quite suddenly yesterday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Solomon WOODARD.  The funeral is today.  (Naples Record, Jan. 27, 1882) 

BINKS - In this village, March23, 1882, Mrs. Roxana BINKS, aged 93 years.  (Ontario Co. Journal   Mar 31, 1882)

CARRY – In this village, on Sunday, Feb. 26, 1882, of consumption, Phebe A. CAREY, aged 21 years.   

CATTERSON - At Seneca on the 8th inst., Mr. William CATTERSON, aged 67 years.(Ontario Co. Journal  Friday,  Mar 17, 1882)

COLVIN -  In this town, July 1st, 1882, Levi COLVIN, aged 81 years.   

GELDER - At South Bristol, on Saturday, March 11, 1882, Bernard GELDER, aged 71 years.  (Ontario Co. Journal  Friday,  Mar 17, 1882)

GIFFORD – In this town, June 30, 1882, Stella, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nathaniel GIFFORD, aged 22 years.   

GRANGER - In Manchester Village, March 16, 1882, William GRANGER, aged 61 years, 8 months, 25 days.  (Ontario Co. Journal  Friday,  Mar 17, 1882)  aged 63 years.  (Ontario Co. Journal   Mar 31, 1882)

GREENHALGH – In this village, Feb 27, 1882 Luke GREENHALGH, aged 67 years. 

GREGORY – In Canandaigua, June 29th, 1882, Harry GREGORY, aged 88 years and 10 months.   

HADSELL - At Middlesex, March 8th, 1882, H. V. HADSELL, aged nearly 72 years.  (Ontario Co. Journal  Friday,  Mar 17, 1882)

HALL - At West Bloomfield, at the residence of his father, Myron S. HALL, on Sunday, March 5, 1882, Dr. James A. HALL, recently of Elmira, NY, aged 32 years.  (Ontario Co. Journal  Friday,  Mar 17, 1882)

HOGARTH - In Geneva, March 24, 1882, Miss Alice HOGARTH, aged 39 years.   (Ontario Co. Journal   Mar 31, 1882)

HURLBURT -  We learn of the sad death of Miss Carrie HURLBURT, of Middlesex, daughter of Wm. HURLBURT.  She was an interesting young lady of 16, very much respected by everyone.  She died on Wednesday morning, of inflammation of the lungs. (Naples Record, Jan. 27, 1882) 

HURLBURT – Miss Carrie HURLBURT, daughter of Wm. HURLBURT, died Wednesday morning Jan. 25th, 1882, aged 16 years after a severe illness of one week.  She was considered better on Tuesday until 9 p.m., when she commenced to sink and could not be rallied from that time to her death.  

KENFIELD -  Salmon KENFIELD, oldest brother of J. T. KENFIELD of this place, died very suddenly of gastric fever, at his home in Ishway, Cattaraugus county on Saturday, last week.  Mr. KENFIELD will be remembered by many of our readers as formerly residing here.  (Naples Record, Jan. 27, 1882)   

LINCOLN - At Gorham, on Monday, March 13, 1882, Louisa LINCOLN, aged 77 years. (Ontario Co. Journal  Friday,  Mar 17, 1882)

MORSE - In Canandaigua, on the 25th inst. (March), Elihu MORSE, in the 80th year of his age.  (Ontario Co. Journal   Mar 31, 1882)

MUNSON – At his home in East Bloomfield, on Thursday morning, June 29, 1882, Luther MUNSON, aged 74 years, 10 months and 7 days.   

PERRY - In Canandaigua, March 16, 1882, Mrs. Mary Ann PERRY, aged 75 years.  (Ontario Co. Journal   Mar 31, 1882)

PITTS - In Honeoye, March 26, 1882, Miss Hannah PITTS, aged 76 years.  (Ontario Co. Journal   Mar 31, 1882)

SALISBURY - At Phelps, Friday, Feb 24, 1882, Gates SALISBURY, aged 50 years.  (Ontario Co. Journal  Friday,  Mar 17, 1882)

SAUNDERS - In this village, March14, 1882, Emily, daughter of John & Sophia SAUNDERS, aged 13 months.  (Ontario Co. Journal  Friday,  Mar 17, 1882)

SMITH – In Manchester Center, June 30th, 1882, Elizabeth SMITH, aged 73 years. 

TIFFANY – In Farmington, June 20, 1882, Nancy A. TIFFANY, aged 73 years.   

VANDERHOOF - At Gypsum, March 4, 1882, Catherine VANDERHOOF, aged 67 years.  (Ontario Co. Journal  Friday,  Mar 17, 1882)

WARREN - In Naples, March 20, 1882, Mrs. L. M. WARREN, aged 38 years. (Ontario Co. Journal   Mar 31, 1882)

WHITWELL – In this village on Saturday, Feb., 25, 1882, Frank H. WHITWELL, aged 37 years.
