One Hundred And Forty-five Soldiers In Local Cemeteries -  For the first time, so far as is known, a list of the war veterans buried in the cemeteries of this vicinity has been prepared and made public. Realizing its importance, J. J. Driscoll Post of the American Legion have for several years been trying to obtain data or the war veteran dead in the local cemeteries, including the location of the various graves. In anticipation of the customary decorating of the graves on Memorial Day, a committee of the Legion has lately speeded up the work. It is expected that at some time each one of these graves will be marked with a headstone bearing the name of the soldier who lies burled beneath the sod. It is said that a law requires this to be done at the joint expense of the county Board of Supervisors and the Federal government.
