Daysville Cemetery, Pulaski, N. Y.

This cemetery list was generously donated by Julie Robst, who last year completed the Daysville Cemetery Records, Town of Richland, Pulaski, New York - Oswego County, on November 14, 1998.  The readings were taken Right to Left in sections divided by the roadways, starting at the Northern end of the cemetery.  This is the best type of list, as you can see the names of those buried close by, and possibly find more of your ancestors.  For more information on any of the names, please contact the local Historical Society, or town Historian.

Mexico Men Hurt When Colt Bolts - Edward McFee and Maurice Adams Thrown to Pavement of Scenic Highway - MEXICO, Nov. 25 - Two Mexico men were injured Friday morning  when a team of colts they were driving became frightened and bolted, throwing both to the pavement on the Scenic highway near the village limits.

The driver, Edward McFee, was run over by the wagon and suffered several broken ribs, and Maurice Adams, with him in the wagon, was cut about the head.  Both were badly bruised.

Dr. L. D. Pulsfer was summoned and treated the men.   Mr. McFee operates a farm on the Scenic highway, and Adams resides on the Harold McFee farm next to the Edward McFee place.

Mr. and Mrs. Harold McFee and daughter, who left Thursday for St. Cloud, Fla., were intercepted in Pennsylvania and returned to the village, Friday afternoon.

MEXICO, Nov. 29 - Edward McFee, 74. died at his home on the Scenic highway, three miles north of Mexico, early Friday morning.  He was born at Pulaski, his parents dying when he was an infant.

He had resided in the town of Mexico for the past 50 years where he was engaged in farming.  He was a member of the North Mexico Methodist church, and of Texas Grange.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Myrtle Ripson McFee, three sons, Harold, Leon, and Curtis McFee all of Mexico; a daughter, Mrs. William Irwin; seven grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Mary Kane of Rochester; and a brother, William McFee of Mexico. Funeral arrangements are incomplete, pending the return of a son, Harold, from Florida, where he is spending the winter.

North Mexico Man Badly Injured When Tossed From Wagon - Edward McFee, 74 year old prominent North Mexico farmer, received painful bruises and suffered severe shock Friday morning when the team of horses he was driving bolted suddenly and threw him from the lumber wagon.  One of the rear wheels of the wagon, passed over his chest.

His companion, Morris Adams, received deep facial cuts when he leaped from the run away vehicle and landed headlong on stones along the roadway.  A gash on his chin required three stitches and two were required to close a head cut.

Mr. McFee has been confined to his bed, since the accident. Medical examination so far has not disclosed any broken bones or internal injuries.

Mexico Independent            Thursday            January 11, 1940   by Dianne Thomas

Harold McFee will return to St. Cloud, Florida, where he and Mrs. McFee are planning to spend the winter months. Mr. McFee was called north, by the death of his father, Edward McFee, two weeks ago, Friday.
