Richard Howland - Richard Howland, a well-known resident of Manchester, died at his home, 38 State Street, at 2:45 o'clock Tuesday morning, after an illness of three days.   He was aged 75 years.  He suffered a stroke of paralysis on Saturday morning, from which he never rallied.

He had been a resident of Manchester for 13 years, coming there from Farmington in 1916, where he had been engaged in farming. He was born in Ireland in March, 1853, coming to this county in 1865, and was married to Mary Crotty in January, 1878.

He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. John Mulligan of Shortsville, Mrs. Louis Whittaker and Mrs. Frank Bowe of Farmington and Mrs. William Dailey of Manchester,  one son, James Howland of Manchester; one sister, Mrs. Charles Anguish of Rochester, and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held this Thursday at 9 a. m. at the residence and at 9:30 at St. Dominic's church in Shortsville, Rev. J .E. Napier officiating. Burial will be made in St. Rose cemetery, Shortsville.

MRS. THOMAS HENRY DIES AT HOME ON THURSDAY - 

Mrs. Ellen Henry, wife of Thomas Henry, Sr., passed away on Thursday evening at family home in Lehigh avenue after a brief illness. She was 67 years of age.

Mrs. Henry was born in Ireland and became the bride of Mr. Henry in New York City in 1908. She had since resided in Shortsville where she was a member of St. Dominic's Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Kathryne Henry of Shortsville; three sisters, Mrs. Delia Burke of this village and Mrs. Mary Kelly of San Fernando, Cal., and Mrs. James Hurley of Ireland; two brothers, James and Martin Burke of Ireland; also several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held on Monday morning at 9 o'clock from the family home and at 9:30 o'clock from St. Dominic's Church, the Rev. John E. Napier officiating. Burial was made in St. Rose Cemetery, Shortsville.
