MANCHESTER MAN DIES SUDDENLY WHILE RIDING IN TOWN TRUCK THURSDAY -  A fatal heart attack struck Anthony Pettrone of Manchester, while he was riding in the cab of a snow-plow truck in the Manchester-Port Gibson road on Thursday morning. The truck driver,

Edward Dubler of Shortsville, drove the man to the Sanitarium at Clifton Spa where he was pronounced dead by Coroner Samuel F. Kutz, of that village.

Pettrone had been employed for some time by the Town of Manchester and was in his 50th year.

Pettrone was a native of Italy, being born on Dec. 28, 1891. He came to America about 30 years ago and had made his home in Manchester for the past 23
years.  For many years he had been employed by the Lehigh Valley Railroad Company, but severed his connection with them about three years ago.
The deceased lost his wife about a year ago, but is survived by six daughters, the Misses Mary, Angeline, Josephine, Antoinette, Ann and Viola, all living at home; four sons, Patsy Pettrone, now stationed at the US Army Camp at Plattsburg, this state, George and Joseph Pettrone of Rochester and Lawrence Pettrone of Elmira; two brothers, John Pettrone of Rochester and Frank Pettrone of Italy, and one sister, Miss Josephine Pettrone, also of Italy.

Funeral services were held from his late home in Merrick avenue at 9:00 o'clock Monday morning and at 9:30 from
St. Dominic's Church, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. John E. Napier. The remains were placed in the receiving vault in Brookside Cemetery for a later
transfer to the family plot in St. Rose Cemetery.
